Lexington Hometown Throwdown Cornhole Tournament

• Entry Limit: First 20 teams to register and pay
• Date: July 18, 2026
• Check-In Deadline: 9:30 AM (all team members must check in)
• Start Time: 10:30 AM

⚠️ Teams that do not check in by 9:30 AM will be disqualified.
⚠️ Any team that does not show up or begin their game within 5 minutes of the scheduled start time will be disqualified.

Tournament Format

• Single elimination bracket (with a modified first round)

First Round:

• Each matchup will play 2 games (Best of 2)  
• Teams will switch sides after each game
• Winners advance to Round 2

Cornhole Rules

Scoring System: Cancellation Scoring

• Only one team scores per round
• Points from opposing teams cancel each other out

Point Values:

• Woody (bag on board): 1 point
• Cornhole (bag in hole): 3 points

Example:

• Red: 1 woody + 2 cornholes = 7 points
• Blue: 2 woodies = 2 points
• Result: Red scores 5 points for the round (7 – 2)

Winning the Game:

• First team to reach 21 points or more wins
• There is no penalty for going over 21
